At Terramation UK we know thousands of our readers are interested in a more sustainable funeral choice, and the idea of leaving no trace of our remains appeals to many.
As for the estimated cost of human composting in the UK, the Mirror article has said that it could cost just over £5,000 for the process. This is taken from the current cost of the process offered by US services mentioned in the article like recomposed.
What do you think of this price? Would you want to pay this amount for human composting?
It seems expensive but sounds like the best way forward for body disposal, as nature intended. I do not want a traditional burial or cremation due to the environmental impact.
It looks like a woodland burial would be in the region of £2,000 which is a lot less than £5k for composting…
Cremation looks to be in the region of £1,000 in the South of the UK
I appreciate there is a lot more equipment and time involved in composting and it would be a new setup, it would need to be more competitively priced as it is a wonderful option.
